What the chat will and will not do

Knowing the edges makes the middle more useful.

It will

  • Draft day-by-day itineraries with clusters, travel effort, an anchor, optional additions and a fallback
  • Compare bases, routes and transport modes on the tradeoffs you care about
  • Balance pace, rest and competing interests across a group or family
  • Build packing, booking, document, arrival and accessibility checklists
  • Plan for a day that falls apart — weather, closures, strikes, tiredness
  • Explain why the pieces fit together, and say when fit is a matter of taste

It will not

  • Quote live schedules, fares, opening hours or availability — it flags them for you to verify instead
  • Guarantee entry, visas, connections, accessibility, health requirements or weather
  • Help with avoiding border, customs, security, quarantine, transport or local rules
  • Replace a clinician on travel-medicine decisions
  • Ask for your document numbers or booking codes — and you should not offer them

In an emergency, leave the chat. For lost documents, detention, serious illness or injury, disasters, or an active threat, contact local emergency services, your carrier, your insurer, or your consulate. For current entry and visa rules, go to the destination government or consular source for your nationality and residence.
